Vaccines & Boosters
Vaccinations are a key part of protecting your pet against serious and preventable diseases.
At The Hoxton Vet, we offer tailored vaccine plans and annual boosters based on your pet’s lifestyle, age, and individual needs.
Only the vaccines your pet needs.
No one wants their pet to suffer from a preventable illness. Vaccinations play a vital role in protecting against serious infectious diseases, but not every vaccine is needed every year.
As an independent practice, The Hoxton Vet takes a thoughtful, evidence-based approach—we only administer the vaccines your pet truly needs to stay protected.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Vaccinations.
At The Hoxton Vet, we only administer the vaccines that are necessary to maintain your pet’s immunity. We use trusted, licensed vaccines that provide:
Three years of protection against Parvovirus, Canine Hepatitis, and Distemper
Annual Leptospirosis boosters—we use the latest vaccine covering all four strains of the disease, especially important for dogs who swim or travel
Kennel Cough protection administered intranasally, mimicking natural exposure and offering the most effective defence—even if your dog has never stepped inside a kennel
Vaccinations are reviewed at each annual check to ensure your pet only receives what they truly need.
Parasite Control.
We build your pet’s parasite prevention plan based on their age, breed, lifestyle, and environment—whether they’re a frequent traveller, park explorer, or homebody.
External Parasites
Fleas, mites, and ticks can cause more than just itching—they spread disease and can quickly infest your home.
Only 5% of a flea population is found on your pet—the other 95% lives in the environment, making consistent protection essential.
Internal Parasites
Even if your dog seems healthy, they could still be hosting harmful worms.
Roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, lungworm, tapeworm—these can live undetected for weeks or months, damaging the heart, lungs, digestive system, and other organs.
Lungworm, in particular, can be fatal if left untreated
Some parasites can also transmit to humans, making prevention important for the whole family
We use prescription-only treatments—safe, effective, and far more reliable than over-the-counter options.

Whether your pet is nervous, elderly, or simply more relaxed in their own space, our home visit service is designed to make veterinary care more convenient, less stressful, and fully personalised.
Our goal is to ensure every client—two-legged and four—feels at ease and cared for, wherever they are.
