Preventive Healthcare Plans - Terms & Conditions
1. The Hoxton Vet Preventative Healthcare Plan, hereafter referred to as ‘The Plan’ allows for twelve-monthly direct debit payments over a twelve-monthly period. Vets Away Limited trading as The Hoxton Vet agrees to provide the signatory hereafter referred to as ‘The Pet Owner’, services under this agreement as described in the Vets Away preventative healthcare plan terms and conditions.
2. Membership of the plan is for a minimum of twelve monthly payments. Membership thereafter will continue on a rolling basis. Termination of the contract can be given with one month’s notice in writing to Vets Away Limited.
3. In the event that during the initial term of membership the pet owner defaults on one or more of the agreed monthly payments then the pet owner will be deemed to be in breach of the contract. In this event, the full cost of the remaining monthly payments owed during the initial term will become payable.
4. In the event that the pet owner defaults on one or more of the agreed monthly payments after the initial term has expired then the pet owner will be deemed in breach of contract. In this event, the value of any discounts for products or services provided to the pet owner over the most recent year of membership will become payable.
5. The pet owner acknowledges that medications for the prevention of parasites are included in the plan and that for convenience several months worth of treatment will often be dispensed at one time. In the event that the number of months dispensed exceeds the number of monthly payments paid by the pet owner at the time of termination of membership, the pet owner will be liable to pay the full retail value of all items dispensed.
6. The agreement is exclusive to the pet owner, and not transferable between pet owners
7. The plan is for preventative healthcare products and services described in practice literature only, provided by Vets Away Limited only. The plan does not cover other veterinary treatments, products or services outside of those preventative healthcare products and services described.
8. Vets Away Limited may suspend any and all service provision should any payments remain outstanding.
9. Vets Away Limited may terminate the pet owners membership immediately should their account with the practice fall into arrears.
10. Any additional services or discounts provided under the plan may only be available for a limited time and may be withdrawn with one month’s written notice.
11. Vets Away Limited may amend or terminate this agreement giving the pet owner one month’s written notice.
12. Additional flea and worming treatments, for puppies and kittens included in the plan will be dispensed at the discretion of the veterinary surgeon.
13. It is the pet owners responsibility to attend the practice for consultations and flea and worming check-ups within one month of the due date.
14. It is the pet owners responsibility to utilize the benefits and products of the plan. The pet owner is not entitled to any refund for non-utilized products or services.
15. The monthly fee will be payable via direct debit until the agreement is terminated in accordance with the preventative healthcare plan terms and conditions. The pet owner must enter their banking details through the preventative healthcare plan section of the The Hoxton Vet website accessible at https://www.thehoxtonvet.com/preventive-wellness-plans. The pets owner’s banking details will not be stored by Vets Away Limited.
16. Vets Away Limited may increase the monthly fee periodically and will give the pet owner one months notice in writing.
17. Value Added Tax (VAT) will be charged at the prevailing rate.
18. Vets Away Limited reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the terms & conditions and will notify the pet owner in writing of these changes.
